This weekend will
probably be the busiest in Palm Springs and the greater Palm Springs area
history.
This weekend
is President’s Day weekend.
Beginning in 1971, the
Congress declared the third Monday in February each year to be Presidents Day
so that Americans can enjoy a three-day weekend.
President Obama is coming to Palm Springs for the weekend. This will be
the President’s fourth trip to the Coachella Valley in less than two years.
We
do not know his schedule or how long he will be in Palm Springs and the greater Palm Springs area.
We do know,
however, that a Presidential visit can affect your plans.
Because the
weekend will be so busy it is time for you to consider what you’re going to do.
The Palm
Springs Guru kicks off the weekend by having lunch with, good friend and weekday
morning radio super star, Bill “Bulldog” Feingold. http://www.943knews.com/common/page.php?pt=billfeingoldshow&id=102
After lunch
I’ll visit the 17th Annual Tour de Palm Springs Vendor Expo on
North Palm Canyon between Tahquitz and Alejo. The two-day Expo is an exciting
part of the Tour de Palm Springs event! And it’s free and open to all. http://www.tourdepalmsprings.com
Saturday,
Valentine’s Day, I will be bicycling with approximately 8,000 other bicyclists
in the 17th Annual Tour de Palm Springs. I hope you can join us.
