Come to the land of sunshine and celebrity homes. Palm Springs, California is a vacationer’s
dream. From just laying down in the sun to peeping into a movie star home to enjoying
the many and varied eating establishments to just driving in the desert wilderness, there
is nothing that says ‘holiday’ more than this resort city in the
Coachella Valley, within the Colorado Desert.
Everywhere you turn you see a new
attraction, chic boutiques, desert charm, Hollywood stardust without the
madness, and golf, golf and more golf!
Take a walk on the streets lined with palm trees (although
you can drive too), basking in the sun, as almost every day is a sunny day -
Palm Springs enjoys more than 350 days of sunshine. That should be just right!
When you come to Palm Springs, rest assured
you are coming to a vacationer’s paradise, with a hotel for every kind of
guest. But who’s going to stay inside a hotel room? Not you, we
hope. Not in Palm Springs.
Just choose among the activities you like to do and
chances are you will be able to do it here. Museums, casinos, golf, horses,
stables, national parks, spas, theme parks,
eateries, heritage homes are just some of the many attractions
The first thing you must do irrespective of everything else
is take a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. You will love the beautiful bird’s
eye view of Palm Springs and the greater Palm Springs area. Pack a picnic and take it with you.
Go on a trail hike in the Mount
San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness or through the beautiful Long Valley.
Kids will love the Children's Discovery Museum while art loving
visitors should definitely pay a visit to the Backstreet Art District and see
artists at work.
Another
exciting and interesting destination is the Palm Springs Air Museum. The air
conditioned hangars of the museum are choc-a-bloc with one of America’s biggest
collection of World War II aircraft. It also has a library and numerous
audio-video attractions including simulators.

you are here, there’s another thing you can do, the celebrity house tour. Everyone
from Frank Sinatra to Marilyn Monroe to Elizabeth Taylor to Elvis Presley had a
house in Palm Springs
If
you are getting too warm, head down to Knott's Soak City. Open only during
summer, it is a big hit to beat the summer heat. With 16 acres of water slides
and giant wave pools, both kids and adults alike will have gallons of fun here.
For that matter, even most hotels have brilliant water features like splash
fountains and water slides
Once
refreshed, you can also go biking in the canyons. The four interesting canyons
- Tahquitz and Indian (Palm, Murray and Andreas)
Canyons get approximately 125,000 visitors annually. There are many packages
available or you can also do it on your own.
